FAQs
What is dfw black tennis?
DFW Black Tennis is a social club and tennis platform committed to building community. We host monthly events that include adult drills and open match play to connect tennis players of all skill levels with coaches, resources, and other players.
How do I join DFW BLACK TENNIS?
There is no official membership for DFW Black Tennis at this time. Please sign up with your email address on our website to stay up to date as we continue to grow as an organization and present new opportunities.
When are DFW Black tennis events held?
DFW Black Tennis hosts monthly meet ups and the upcoming date is always available in our bio. We highly encourage you to turn on post notifications for our registration drops as it fills up very quickly.
how do i register for the meet ups?
The registration link for monthly meet ups is released 10 days prior to the event date at 12pm. Registration is limited and fills up quickly so we highly encourage you to turn on post notifications for our page.
Why is there a registration capacity for the monthly monthly meet ups?
Registration capacity helps us to uphold the quality of the drills sessions by limiting the amount of wait time between reps. Capacity also respects the certified coaches by limiting the number of participants in each group.
Do i need to bring my own tennis racket?
We highly encourage you to bring your own tennis racket to our meet ups, however, Kiest Tennis Center does offer racket rentals for $5. Additionally they ask to hold your ID or keys for collateral to ensure all their rackets are returned and undamaged.
why is There is a cut off time for drills sessions?
Again, in order to respect our certified coaches and the experience of all participants, we will not accept additions to the drills sessions after 9:45am. This information was highlighted in the registration form when you signed up and will be heavily enforced. If you do show up late, you may utilize any of our reserved courts for open match play. Please note that if you want to be grouped with a friend(s), come early to be divided into a group with them at the start of drills.
why are wristbands required on the courts?
As the meet ups have become more populated, increased awareness of who has registered is necessary. Wristbands will be administered at sign up in order to help easily identify who should and should not be on the courts. Please make sure to keep your wristband on at all times during the event.
Do I have to participate in the drills session?
Drills are heavily encouraged for all skill levels, however, if you would just like to come out for open match play, we have additional courts reserved that may be utilized at anytime during our meet ups. Registration is still required and courts are first come, first serve.
